Newstar Fastenings stock a wide range of micro washers in several different material options to cater to any potential customer demand. A Washer can commonly be described as a thin plate which a hole located in the middle used to distribute the load of a threaded fastener. However, they can also commonly be used to act as a spacer and/ or anti vibration and locking tool.
Our range of micro washers can be characterised into three different sections dependant on the customers requirement: Flat Washers are commonly used to spread a load whilst it also prevents any damage to a surface where a screw is fixed. It can also be used for insulation purposes.
Spring Washers/ Locking Washers are usually used when loosening due to vibrations is a potential issue. Locking Washers can be implemented into a customer's project by preventing the fastening to loosen. Examples of Spring and Locking washers include Wave Washers, Split Washers and a Toothed Washer (Internal and External).
